Program of Study
The Global Health Program offers a sub-baccalaureate Certificate in Global Health, a 1-to-2-year program which is open to both degree-seeking undergraduate students with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 and above and non-degree students who meet the minimum university admission requirements. It prepares students with the knowledge and skills necessary to apply a global lens to domestic work and/or conduct international work, by focusing on topics such as population distribution of health conditions; environmental and social determinants of health; health disparities, comparative health systems and policies; maternal, child, and adolescent health; development and implementation of global health programs, and global health partnerships.
All undergraduate students are held to the academic policies and procedures outlined in the undergraduate catalog. Students are encouraged to review departmental handbooks for program tips, suggested course sequences, and explanations of procedures. When applicable, additional policies for specific department programs may be listed below.
