Minor in Music

Wells School of Music

This program is geared toward liberal arts students with an interest in music. To be enrolled, students must be approved by audition and have the permission of both their major advisor and the Wells School of Music undergraduate coordinator.

Students must complete a minimum of six credits of advanced standing coursework in their minor.*

Courses are repeatable.

MHL 312, MHL 325, and all courses listed under Ensembles are “advanced standing” courses. Six (6) credits of advanced standing courses are required for the Minor in Music.

Ensembles are variable credit, 0.5-1 credit hour. Register for 1 credit per ensemble.

Additional ensembles accepted under advisement (1 credit each)

*Advanced standing coursework is defined as any 300-level course or above and specific 200-level courses identified by the department.
