At least two electives must be taken within the Psychology Department. Electives should be chosen in consultation with the program advisor or graduate coordinator. Students interested in completing the Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management should take HRM 601, HRM 602 and one additional HRM course from the following: HRM 603/HRM 604/HRM 606/HRM 607. Students electing to add the Human Resource Management Certificate option will be expected to complete 42 credit hours. 12

Students can choose only one of the following options: PSY 570 can be taken as an independent elective for 3 credits or can be used to substitute for PSY 630 requirement when taken for 6 credits as an independent elective.

Students may only register for one of these courses (PSY 510, PSY 600, PSY 610) per semester.

Up to two elective courses may be taken outside of the Department of Psychology. Courses restricted to clinical psychology majors cannot be taken as electives.

Students may, with permission, enroll for the thesis (PSY 610) for up to six credit hours. Students electing the thesis option will be expected to complete at least 42 credit hours.
