B.S. in Nursing - Advance-2-BSN Track

College of Health Sciences

(*Note:  As of Summer 2023, the Advance-2-BSN program will no longer be accepting new students. Interested students should consider the Advance to Master of Science in Nursing - Clinical Nurse Leader Track.)

The Advance-2-BSN program is for the student with a previously earned baccalaureate degree who wants to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will then be eligible to take the NCLEX-RN exam (National Council on Licensure Examination for the RN) for licensure as a Registered Nurse. This intensive 18-month program builds upon the student's previous education. It follows the same curriculum as the traditional BSN program but at an accelerated pace.

Because all students in this track will have a previous bachelor’s degree as a requirement of admission, all general education requirements are waived. However, MAT 121 and distributive courses BIO 100, CHE 107, CRL 107, PSY 100, and SOC 100 are required for admission to the program.
